"We spent what felt like forever trying to find our cake supplier and finally came across Storeybook cakes. We’re so happy that we did! The first step was to choose the flavours that we wanted which turned out to be the most difficult decision we had to make during the whole process because they all tasted incredible. We eventually settled on Strawberry Milkshake, Chocolate and Signature Vanilla. After this it was time to design the cake. Lorien worked with us to create the most beautiful cake we could have ever wished for or imagined, it was truly amazing. "We were so fortunate to discover Lorien at a Wedding Fayre. Her cakes are stunning and after trying a sample my husband said that it was the best cake he had ever tasted! Lorien was incredibly helpful throughout the process. I didn’t know what look I wanted for our cake and she answered all my questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Lorien also created us some stunning lollypop favours that were exactly what I had envisioned. We got countless compliments on the day for both the cake and favours. From start to finish Lorien was an absolute joy to work with. She took my vision and made it a reality and created the most beautiful cake that I could only imagine exists in fairytales.
Even in these strange times we never felt like we missed out on the usual experience of choosing our wedding cake with the gorgeous box of cake samples that Lorien kindly provided prior to our wedding day. The flavors were absolutely scrumptious we wanted to have them all.
Her execution and attention to detail are second to none and no request is too much.
I could not recommend her more, I just only wished we could do it all again (thank god for the leftover cake in the fridge is all I say).

The flavours are out-of-this-world (read nutella buttercream with Ferrero rocher and chocolate cake, or cherry bakewell with marzipan flavours throughout!!!) and her professionalism and attention to detail (and sugar flowers!!) are amazing. The cake was made to perfection, every part of the cake was amazing and tasted lovely too, we had a raspberry and white chocolate tier and a chocolate and salted caramel tier. Lorien made our favours too which were caramel shortcakes that came in individual boxes that too taste lovely. We didn't go for anything traditional and had no idea how it would turn out but Lorien created a beautiful autumn/woodland masterpiece. "Not only does Lorien make the most incredibly beautiful cakes, but they all taste amazing – and she has some of the most interesting flavour options I’ve seen for wedding cakes. The main reason we ended up choosing Lorien to make our wedding cake was because the hubby completely fell in love with the idea of a Neopolitan cake! We got to try various in the sample box so I can tell you that all of them are incredible. Every single one of them would be amazing for your wedding cake – but we opted for Carrot cake, Neopolitan and Citrus passionfruit. Every single guest had a flavour they loved, and I know a few people took extra cake home with them! Lorien herself is just so lovely and helpful and was always willing to help or give advice. She is definitely worth booking as soon as you have a date for your wedding – she’s in high demand, and it’s not hard to see why!"

"Our wedding was postponed like so many other people’s but what makes the difference is having suppliers who are understanding and try to make the process as smooth as possible. We made our initial enquiry before COVID and Lorien was very fast with her communication and I cannot fault her through the whole process of postponing. Then we get onto the design and flavours, I had 2 x sample boxes of samples delivered in the post and they were so amazing, we ended up selecting 3 flavours and even that was difficult to narrow down to. My cake was absolutely stunning and exactly how I described to Lorien. Despite not seeing Lorien or the cake on the morning of the wedding, I had full confidence it would be perfect on the day. Thank you so much for making us our perfect wedding cake."

"Lorien was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. She made the entire process so easy. I got married on December the 27th 2020. She went above and beyond for me, even with covid restrictions and it being so close to Christmas.
I’m extremely picky, I didn’t want the traditional white cake, I had a design in mind and Lorien bought it to life perfectly. I couldn’t of wished for anyone better or more skilled. She’s incredible at what she does, especially the sugar flowers! But more importantly every tier was delicious!"

"We chose Storeybook Wedding cakes for our wedding day. The designs were just stunning and the choice of cake flavours were amazing. We wanted something a little different to just sponge or fruit cake. We opted for a beautiful 3 tier cake. Our top tier was cookie dough, the middle strawberry milkshake and the bottom tier was chocolate orange. All three flavours were delicious and we’ve had so many compliments from our guests regarding the taste! The cake stayed moist for so long and the white chocolate ganache and icing were heavenly as well! We honestly can’t thank Lorien enough for making our dream wedding cake. "The cake looked stunning, with really realistic looking sugar flowers adorning the cake. It didn’t only look stunning though, it tasted absolutely divine! After already trying a selection of flavours from a sample box I had no doubt in my mind that it would. It was so hard to choose which flavours we wanted as they were all exceptionally tasty. We settled on chocolate hazelnut for the bottom tier, lemon and blueberry for the middle tier and white chocolate and raspberry for the top tier. All of our guests commented on how tasty the cake was. It really was perfect! My particular favourite was the lemon and blueberry. It really was gorgeous. Lorien took any stress out of the process by communicating with our florist who provided fresh flowers to decorate the hoop. The hoop was delivered to the venue early on in the day so that the florist could get to work adding the flowers and foliage and it really framed the cake beautifully. We would highly recommend Opulence by Storeybook cakes to anyone looking for a wonderful looking and tasting wedding cake. It was the best cake we’ve ever seen/tasted. We opted for a four tier cake with a simple, yet elegant finish, which really fitted in with our wedding theme. Our flavours were salted caramel, zesty lemon, raspberry ripple and cookie dough, all of which tasted absolutely divine!
